Special Event Network has been producing bridal expos in the Finger Lakes Region, Southern Tier of NY for over 7 years.
In both 2005 & 2006 we gave away a complete wedding with the public choosing the couple and all facets of the wedding by voting on the Special Event Network website. Each Friday for 10 weeks we had both TV and radio coverage as we presented something new to be voted on and announced the winning item from the previous week.
The wedding giveaways included a bridal gown, tuxedos, attendant's gowns, wedding rings, flowers, Mother's dresses, wedding cake, bride's hairstyle, reception venue, bridal accessories, photographer, wine for the reception, designer lingerie for the bride, videographer, etc.
Both years the weddings took place on stage at the Clemens Center on February 19 after the bridal show, followed with a private reception for the bride and groom and their guests at the winning venue.
Other venues have included the Corning Glass Museum, Holiday Inn, Elmira, Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel, and the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center.
